The School Board of the Graford Independent School District met in a regular meeting, Thursday, May 31, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., with the following members in attendance: Jakie Long, Matt Biery, Kay Lynn Bridges, Hal Brown, Eddie Laney, Mike Pendergraft, and Chance Welch, Superintendent.

 

President Jakie Long called the meeting to order.

1.         Superintendent Secretary, Deanna Box swore in newly elected members, Eddie Laney, Mike Pendergraft, and Ronnie Ranft.

 

2.         Motion by Bridges, seconded by Laney, to keep Jakie Long as School Board President.

                                                                        Against: None

                                                                        Abstain: Long

 

            Motion by Brown, Seconded by Pendergraft, to keep Matt Biery as School Board Vice President.

                                                                        Abstain: Biery

 

            Motion by Laney, seconded by Pendergraft, to keep Kay Lynn Bridges as School Board Secretary.

3.         Campus Reports:

4.         Mr. Chance Welch, Superintendent presented the TASB Summary of Recommendations for LOCAL Policies. Discussion only no motions or votes made.

 

5.         Motion by Brown, seconded by Biery, to approve willing employees to give sick leave up to 2 days for Linda Pendergraft for the 2006-2007 school year.

6.         Motion by Brown, seconded by Biery, to approve the minutes of the April 26, 2007 regular and special School Board meetings.

            The Graford ISD School Board went into closed session at 8:45 p.m. and came out at 9:44 p.m.

            No motions or votes were made in closed session it was for discussion only

b. Motion by Brown, seconded by Bridges, to approve hiring Elissa Linehan as 5th and 6th grade
