The School Board of the Graford Independent School District met in a regular meeting, Monday, February 26, 2007, at 7:00 p.m.,
with the following members in attendance:  Jakie Long, Matt Biery, Kay Lynn Bridges,

Hal Brown, Mike Pendergraft, Eddie Laney, Susan Wolfe, and Chance Welch, Superintendent.

 

President Jakie Long called meeting to order.

There was a quorum present.

Pat Narcomey gave the Invocation Pledge

 

  1.     Campus Reports:
    1. Pat Narcomey- High School Principal
    2. Angela Myrick- Elementary Principal
    3. Robert Ray-Ag  Director – Absent
    4. JB Littlejohn- Athletic Director

 

2.      Motion by Bridges, seconded by Wolfe, to approve Snow, Garrett, & Company as

         Graford ISD’s 2006-2007 Independent Auditors.  


         Motion Carried:  7-0
                   For:  All members present
 Against:  None

 

3.    Motion by Bridges, seconded by Pendergraft, to call the Graford ISD Trustee Election for

        May 12, 2007.
              a.    Board Member continuing education hours.
                     As of today, all Board members have received the required Texas Education Code Update

                     and have 3 hours of Team of Eight training.  The Board plans to attend the Cross Timber

                     School Development workshop on April 25th and have a Policy Review Seminar

                     on April 26th.

1.   Motion by Bridges, seconded by Laney, to approve the GISD Cheerleader Handbook for

      the 2007-2008 year.

 

         Motion Carried:  7-0

      5.   Motion by Biery, seconded by Brown, to approve the minutes of the January 25, 2007 regular meeting.

 

        Motion Carried:  7-0
                  For:  All members present
Against:  None

 

 

     6.   Motion by Bridges, seconded by Wolfe, to approve the financial and expenditure list.

 

          Motion Carried:  7-0
                   For:  All members present
Against:  None

 

                   The Graford ISD School Board went into closed session at 7:33 p.m. and came out at 8:07 p.m.   

                             Govt. Code 551.074
                   No motions or votes were made in closed session.  It was for discussion only.

 

      7.    District Personnel:
                         a.   Motion by Bridges, seconded by Brown, move we approve the High School Principal’s,

                               the Elementary Principal’s and the Athletic Director’s term contracts as discussed in

                               executive session.
