The School Board of the Graford Independent School District met in a regular meeting, Thursday, January 25, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., with the following members in attendance: Jakie Long, Matt Biery, Kay Lynn Bridges, Hal Brown, Mike Pendergraft, Eddie Laney, Susan Wolfe, and Chance Welch, Superintendent.

 

President Jakie Long called the meeting to order.

There was a quorum present.

1.         Motion by Bridges, seconded by Brown, to approve the Financial Audit Report for the 2005-2006 school year as presented by Graford ISD’s Auditors, Snow, Garrett and Company.

2.         Campus Reports:

                        a. Pat Narcomey – High School Principal

                        b. Angela Myrick – Elementary Principal

                        c. Robert Ray – Ag Director

3.         Motion by Bridges, seconded by Laney, to approve Update 79 and adopt option 1 on Local Policy EIF.

4.         Motion by Wolfe, seconded by Pendergraft, the Board moves that we approve the Resolution regarding changes to GISD general trustee elections as read.

5.         Motion by Laney, seconded by Bridges, to approve the minutes of the January 25, 2007 regular meeting.

6.         Motion by Brown, seconded by Wolfe, to approve the financial and expenditure list.

            The Graford ISD School Board went into closed session at 8:06 p.m. and came out at 9:40 p.m.

            No motions or votes were made in closed session it was for discussion only

                        a. Motion by Bridges, seconded by Brown, to approve Superintendent, Chance Welch’s Annual

                            Appraisal and extend his Contract for 5yrs (July 1, 2007 thru June 30, 2012)
