Updates to txGradebook that have occurred since the last release are listed below.
Announcements
The page was modified to properly display the line breaks entered in the campus and district messages. (iTCCS1048)
Administrative Access, Admin Student Grades
The page was modified:
To display I for any category that has an incomplete assignment grade. If an I grade is present, no averages are calculated, an I is displayed in place of the average, and total points are not displayed. The grade remains as an I until a grade is entered for the assignment.
To correct the error that caused category averages in courses with alphabetical grades to be displayed as numeric grades (iTCCS only). (iTCCS962)
Attendance, Post/View Attendance
The page was modified:
To allow you to post attendance during the ADA period for record status 6 (temporary) students. Previously, the Tardy/Absent radio buttons were disabled for these students during the ADA period (iTCCS only). (iTCCS836)
To differentiate students who are on a track that does not meet on the selected date. The students will be displayed on the page; however, the Absent/Tardy/Present fields will be replaced by a message indicating that the date is not a membership day for the student. (iTCCS1010)
To enable you to press Enter after typing your PIN to post attendance, when using Firefox on a PC or Mac. (iTCCS1054)
Grades, Assignment Grades
The page was modified to round, rather than truncate, the decimal remainders when calculating the working cycle average for point-based courses. If the remainder is .5 or greater, the number is rounded up. (iTCCS889)
Grades, Cycle Grades
The page was modified:
To not calculate semester averages for courses that do not have a semester exam and semester average each semester (e.g., a four-semester campus that has semester exams at the end of the second and fourth semesters). Semester averages are only calculated for semesters for which the course section settings (in iTCCS and RSCCC) indicate there is a semester exam for the current semester. (STU4826)
During semesters that have semester exams:
The Semester Exam field is displayed on the page.
The Semester Average field displays the average of the cycles since the last semester that had an exam. The semester exam is included in the calculation according to campus settings.
If the current cycle is the last cycle of the semester, the Exam and Semester Average fields are displayed under the heading Semester Grades. Otherwise, the working semester average is displayed under the heading Semester Average.
When viewing a previous semester that has a semester exam, the Exam and Semester Average fields display the posted grades.
During semesters that do not have semester exams:
The Exam field is not displayed on the page.
The Semester Average field displays the average of the cycles since the last semester that had an exam.
When viewing a previous semester that does not have a semester exam, neither the exam nor the semester average is displayed.
To not display the Calculate Semester Averages button for previous semesters. (STU4826)
Grades, Interim Progress Reports
The report was modified to display I for any category that has an incomplete assignment grade. If an I grade is present, no averages are calculated, an I is displayed in place of the average, and total points are not displayed. The grade remains as an I until a grade is entered for the assignment.
Reports, Cycle Grade Range
The report was modified to correct the error that prevented you from generating the report if you selected the option to view All Course Sections. (iTCCS1102, STU4833)
Student Profile, Attendance
The page was modified to correctly validate the data in the From Date and To Date fields. The page now ensures that the From Date field is less than or equal to the To Date field.
Student Profile, Photo
The page was modified:
To allow the use of photo URLs from a server accessible to the PC on which txGradebook is being used, even if the server is not accessible to the txGradebook server. (iTCCS1016)
To format the photo URL so that all URLs are stored in a consistent, valid format.
System
The program was modified to correct the problem that prevented the Reset Timeout button from working properly if you were using txGradebook over an https connection. (iTCCS1053)
System, Calendar
The program was modified:
To prevent you from selecting a date outside the current school year. Valid school days begin with the earliest meeting day of any track at the campus and end with the latest meeting day for any track at the campus. The legend indicates disabled days with the message "Not a membership day."
To read calendar data from the calendar table rather than use string-based calendar data.
To provide color-coding of special track calendar days for multiple tracks. Previously, color-coding was only provided for single-track campuses. For multi-track campuses, the tracks are listed below the date and are highlighted with color coding, when applicable. Track differences are relative to the membership day. (iTCCS1010)
System, Course Section
The program was modified to correctly display courses for four-semester courses that have semester code A or 9 in iTCCS or RSCCC. Previously, courses with semester code A were displayed during semesters 3 and 4, and courses with semester code 9 were displayed during semesters 1 and 2. Now, courses with semester code A are displayed during semesters 2 and 4, and courses with semester code 9 are displayed during semesters 1 and 4.
System
The program was modified to correct transformation service errors that caused incorrect teacher schedules to be produced (iTCCS only). (iTCCS992)
System, Login
The page was modified:
To properly display the line breaks entered in the campus and district messages. (iTCCS1048)
To increase the area for the campus and district messages to accommodate an 80-character fixed-width message (iTCCS only). (iTCCS1048)
